Meet Hasaleah, The Kindness Doula
Hello, I’m The Kindness Doula, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a mom of three incredible boys, and I’ve always had a heart for helping others. As a child, whenever anyone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was simple: “I want to help people.” Little did I know, that calling would lead me to become a doula, where I could support families during one of the most transformative and important times of their lives.
My journey to becoming a doula started with my own experience as a mother. After the birth of my second son, I realized that my first birth had been a traumatic experience. I found myself wondering, What went wrong? and began educating myself about birth, learning as much as I could about what I could have done differently. It was during the pregnancy of my third son that I made the decision to pursue a VBA2C (Vaginal Birth After Two Cesareans), and it was an incredibly empowering experience. It was then that I realized I wasn’t just interested in birth—I was deeply passionate about sharing what I had learned with others.
As I navigated my own journey, I found myself naturally seeking out conversations with family, friends, and even friends of friends about pregnancy, birth, and becoming a new mom. I began meeting for coffee or lunch with anyone who needed a listening ear, a place to ask questions, or simply someone to talk to about their birth experience. One day, while having lunch with a friend’s sister, she thanked me at the end of our conversation and shared how much better she felt about her own decisions and the upcoming labor. As she left, she said, “You should really do this for a living.”
That moment changed everything for me. It clicked—I realized I could combine my love for helping others, my passion for birth, and my own lived experiences to support families through their own journeys.
As The Kindness Doula, my goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout your entire pregnancy and birth. I believe in providing non-judgmental, compassionate care and truly honoring the unique experience of each family. I want to make sure that you feel heard, respected, and fully informed about your options—so you can make the choices that feel right for you and your growing family. I know firsthand how powerful it is to feel supported by someone who cares, and that’s exactly what I’m here to provide.
